ASSISTANT MARKET ANALYST -- Murasaki, Inc. dba UMAI seeks qualified individual to fill professional position of Assistant Market Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts worksite.  Duties include:  Under Sales and Marketing and Advertising Managers, assist in conducting analytical studies of market conditions relating to the sales of Japanese and other Asian food products and services for company, as well as assist in producing more targeted and effective advertising in these markets; Analyze and gather sales and financial data on customer preferences, needs, demographics, and changes in demand over time to identify potential markets and factors affecting customer demand; Assist in determining appropriate marketing and sales strategies aimed at the further penetration of the Japanese and other Asian food products and services market segments; Analyze and recommend changes to marketing campaign to better advertise company's food products and services to existing and new customer markets through advertising brochures, pamphlets, and other written advertisement media to further penetrate the Japanese and other Asian food products and services market segments; Monitor competitor performance and make recommendations based on analysis of their methods of pricing, sales, marketing, and distribution; Prepare marketing reports, as well as sales and budget reports for revenue/costs, profit/loss, accounts receivable/payable, cash flow, etc, to management team.  Minimum requirements and credentials currently include:  1) Strong proficiency in market and sales analysis and also in marketing and advertising strategy development; 2) Strong proficiency in financial budget accounting and forecasting; 3) Strong knowledge of relevant computer technologies, including MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Publisher, as well as internet; 4) 2 years experience as Assistant Market Analyst, or 2 year experience in related position providing proficiencies in items 1-3 above.  Employer considers any suitable combination of experience in the job offered and the alternate experience substantially equivalent to descriptions in items 1-3 above.  Salary is $62,566.00 per year.  40 hour work week (Mon-Fri 9AM-5PM).  Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.  Interested and qualified individuals should send 2 copies of resume to:  Murasaki, Inc. dba UMAI; Attention: Ms. Lee; 224 Newbury Street; Boston, Massachusetts 02116.
